Fishing Report for May

It has been awhile since we have posted but we have been on the water. March, April and early May have been dominated by redfish. We have fished a few tournaments and done well, placing 1st in the Saltwater Boys Benefit Tournament and 3rd in a Triangle Tailchaser Tournament. The redfish are moving into their normal summer pattern and will be pushing into the marsh over the next couple weeks.

Trout fishing has been slow due to all the rain early in May but it is coming on strong now. We are starting to get a good push of clean water coming in from the gulf and if we can get a break from the rain up north the river flows should lessen and I expect the trout bite to get more and more consistent. Bigger fish are showing up and we were lucky enough to catch the big girl in the pic on Wednesday. She is still out there and swam away strong after the picture.
