Fishing Report - Sabine Pass
July 03, 2014 by Capt. Tony
Hit the water at 6:30 this morning. 2 of us in the boat and it was a fantastic bite. We worked deep water near rock but the fish were biting in the top 2' of water. Water was very clear and you could see th coming! Sometimes there were 3-4 fish at a time trying to eat whatever bait we threw. Whatever threw was not important. The key was to work the bait back as fast as possible, twitching and jerking it the whole time. If you did this it was literally a fish every cast unless you jerked it away from them. That happened a lot when you could see a 5lber coming! LOL
There will be a lot of boats out there this weekend so everyone be a little more respectful, a little more tolerant, and most of all please be safe!
