Trout Action on Sabine Lake

Had the pleasure of fishing with the owners of Southern Arms & Manufacturing.  Great guys.  They build some of the best AR-15's on the market in addition to doing excellent repairs, refinishing and other gunsmithing.  The plan was to check several areas looking for what ever would bite.  We picked up a few nice trout early then it heated up and the wind died.  The lake slicked out to a mirror finish. You couldn't see where water ended and sky began.  Lots of shad balls with dink trout and ladyfish.  Moved around until we found a bunch of 2-4 lb fish working bait in the middle of the lake.  Put together a nice box before the heat wore us down.  Thanks for a fun trip guys!
